How did you get into triathlon?
My best friend used to be a world class ITU champion back in the early 90's, he got me into running and then triathlons.
How long have you been doing triathlon?
First one was October 2008.
Favorite workout?
Tempo runs and long runs.
Do you have training partners?
Yes, I love running with Victor Torres. Riding with the group is awesome too.
Best Race?
Ironman Arizona 2009.
Worst Race?
Toyota US Open Triathlon Olympic distance 2009. I had two flats on the bike and one of the worse swims I can remember.
Why you do triathlons?
The endorphines!
What's next for you?
Ironman Brazil.
Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
A three minute T1 because I couldn't take my wetsuit off, I got so nervous that I couldn't strap my helmet neither.
Running Shoe that you wear?
Newtons for long runs, racing flats for anything equal or less than a half Mary.
What time do you wake up?
5:30
Favorite song to train to?
None, I don't listen to music while I'm training. It's enough of a high!
Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
Running, 10 to 1.
What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Fig cake.
Favorite food (regular)?
Mediterranean food, and it's also super healthy.

Vickie Villarroel.
Other sports interest?
Snow skiing because I grew up doing it. No other sport if I can't do it myself, I'm not a spectator, I'm an actor.
Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Reading, traveling, some other things that finish with "ing"
Favorite TV show/movie?
NO TV, whatsoever. Period.
Greatest motivator?
My internal drill sergeant.
Hometown?
Mendoza, Argentina (home of the highest mountain in the Americas).

I speak four languages.
