Occupation?
Assistant Race Director for the Turkey Trot, 6 months out of the year. And, indoor cycling and boot camp instructor for BT Fitness the rest of the time.

How did you get into triathlon?
I used to be a volunteer coordinator for the CDA Ironman and thought why not. Haha! I am out to have fun and challenge my body, not to win anything.

How long have you been doing triathlon?
I guess you could say since September 2009. I did the Longhorn 70.3 in October and that was my first taste of triathlon life.

Favorite workout?
I love trail running.

Do you have training partners?
I have a lot of training partners from the Pacific NW. I just moved to Texas, and I am looking for a hard working, fun group to help me get to the starting line.

Best Race?
Well since I have only done one triathlon, I have to say the Longhorn 70.3. I wasn't the first across the finish line, but I wasn't the last. And, I smiled the whole way!

Worst Race?
I am sure I will have a good story to put here in time.

Why you do triathlons?
I used to just run, and triathlons are a fun way to break up your workouts.

What's next for you?
CDA Ironman 2010, and possibly Longhorn 70.3 in October. My goal for CDA is to finish strong, and my goal for Longhorn is to PR.

Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
Well, I am clumsy so there are a few that involve tripping and falling, but nothing that is funny.

Running Shoe that you wear?
New Balance 800.

What time do you wake up?
I am not an early riser unless I have to be. Ideally 8am. I teach classes at night, so early rising is not my thing. :)

Favorite song to train to?
Nickelback and 80's rock.

Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
Right now it is running, because it is what I know. But, I find myself looking forward to my swim workouts too.

What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
lara bars, hammer gels. I have a sensitive stomach, so whatever is going to give me energy without making me feel sick.

Favorite food (regular)?
Mexican and Thai food.

Spouse/Significant Other?
I have a very supportive guy who challenges me on the bike!

Other sports interest?
I love basketball. Grew up playing it and still love watching it. I also love hiking and backpacking.

Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Anything outdoors. I grew up near the mountains.

Favorite TV show/movie?
I will admit I love Grey's Anatomy. I also am a big fan of The View.

Greatest motivator?
Friends. I am not a competitive person, unless I am competing with myself. But, having someone else who is going through the same thing I am and reaching for the same goal, helps me to push a little harder.

Hometown?
Portland, Oregon

Interesting fact about yourself?
I spent the summer leading a bike trip across the country to raise money and build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
Cook and travel.
