How did you get into triathlon?
Long-time cyclist who decided to give it a try when my wife signed up for the Austin Danskin Sprint 8 years ago.
How long have you been doing triathlon?
Did my first mini-sprint in April 2004; since then, a few sprints, a few opympics, and then a long hiatus... that's still going.

Do you have training partners?
Still don't know if I have a best race yet; my first Olympic distance was the 2012 US Open, and I finished just under my sub-3hr goal.
Capital of Texas Sprint - Memorial Day, 2004. First 100+ degree day of the year. I rode my dad's old steel Trek road bike (shifters on the down-tube) and walked 2/3 of the run.
Why you do triathlons?
Trying to get into and stay in shape (a less round shape).
What's next for you?
Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
Unforgettably, running up on a pop-fly in Little League and jumping to catch the ball as it sailed 30 feet over my head.

Cliff Bars (peanut butter) and GU

Bacon Cheeseburgers (see reason for doing triathlons)

Wakeboarding, Snowboarding, Basketball, Golf
Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Travel, Build/fix things, Read, Play with my kiddos
Favorite TV show/movie?
Movies: My Cousin Vinny; A Few Good Men
My wife; improving on my best time in anything; and wanting to be able to keep up with my kids' sports/outdoor activities as they grow up.
Interesting fact about yourself?
I can hand-toss pizza dough and love to cook.
What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
i am clearly not training enough. ??
