How did you get into triathlon?
A couple of my coworkers and I decided to do Stonebridge Ranch last year and I was immediately hooked.
How long have you been doing triathlon?
I just finished my first season.
Either a long bike ride or an open water swim.
Do you have training partners?
Yep, I train with other fit2train people when I can.
Playtri 2006, 2nd in my age group.
LA Tinman 2006. I was having some knee pain that morning which killed my run.
Why you do triathlons?
It's a great way to stay in shape and I love competition. Plus, I love an excuse to collect bikes.
What's next for you?
White Rock Marathon, a Half, and then Ironman CDA 2007.
Most embarrassing moment doing sports?
I had to ask the woman photographer to photoshop one of the online pictures of me coming out of the water at Discoman... A female friend of mine noticed (after I had sent the link to a few friends and family) that one of the pictures was a little "revealing" and needed to be edited.
Running Shoe that you wear?
Asics something or other.
What time do you wake up?
Anywhere between 5 and 7 am.
Favorite song to train to?
The Toadies or The Crystal Method.... I also have a nice 80's playlist on the IPOD. Kenny Loggins does the trick, not gonna lie.
Out of all 3 sports- which is your favorite?
What kind of food do you eat during a workout?
Usually just Gu, maybe a Clif Bar on longer rides.
Favorite food (regular)?
Mexican Food with a nice margarita or two. I'm also fighting a Chipotle addiction.
From time to time... not so much right now.
Other sports interest?
Basketball, Softball, Soccer, and Golden Tee (does that count?)
Something that you like to do that is not sports related?
Hang out with friends, watch the MAVS, drink wine, travel.
Favorite TV show/movie?
Grey's Anatomy, 24, Scrubs, Entourage / Good Will Hunting, Rudy, Hoosiers
I own the Hawaii Ironman videos from 2003 and 2004... the special interest stories in those, like the Hoyts, always pump me up.... And I crave the competition.
Interesting fact about yourself?
I went to an all boys prep school for highschool. We really grew to appreciate the weekends when we could socialize with the girl's school.
What do you like to do to get away from triathlon?
I enjoy eating out, having a drink or two, and relaxing.
